that’s keeping me holding on to my dull life, to my dull life…’
kc & jh ‘your young voice’
kc & jh
funnily enough ive been listening to kc & jh ‘diamond mine’ and lou reed ‘transformer’ a lot this week. i have also been listening to…
the beatles ‘the beatles’ (aka the white album’ and originally entitled ‘a doll’s house’) aka what a fudging great album.
radiohead ‘in rainbows’. mindblowing, is what i cry it. and you can put that on the blurb, thom yorke. five years too late… anyway, i might get some more of their albums.
josh t pearson ‘the last of the country gentlemen’. depressing as hell. but in a good way.

day off tomorrow. need to listen to something a bit cheerier. might throw some talc on the floor and listen to some of that northern soul stuff.
king creosote & john hopkins ’your young voice’ (from the album ‘diamond mine’)
sweet and lovely album closer. another kenny anderson ode to his daughter, beth.
king creosote & jon hopkins ’your young voice’
he was on later with jools holland performing with the burns unit last night. on the telly, ken. it was okay.
i liked the bit where he was playing the accordian though. its quite a sexy instrument, the old accordian, you know. all that squeezing and blowing and pushing buttons and that.
oooer missus, or whatever.
anyway, i ilke the old king creosote v much. thank goodness for folks like him.

Definitely the best cover of a Jeff Buckley song (or indeed, any song) ever.
yup.

King Creosote & Jon Hopkins - ‘Bats In The Attic’
king creosote ’so forlorn’
fife folk artist includes funkadelic sample in acoustic track without it sounding ludicrous!
from the album ‘kenny and beth’s musakal boat rides’ (2004)
king creosote & hms ginafore ’that stain on your skirt’
live from kenny anderson’s hoose, this a sweet and lovely (and a little bit dirty) duet from the nancy & lee of fife.
